Warrior Build evaluation
I would have posted this in the thread below, but I didn't want to threadjack. So let's just get straight to the point. Wat can I do to make this build better:
Strength: 8+11
Swordsmanship: 12+2
Tactics: 10 +1
[skill]Quivering Blade[/skill][skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Disarm[/skill][skill]Soldier's Strike[/skill][skill]"Shields Up!"[/skill][skill]Berserker Stance[/skill][skill]Lion's Comfort[/skill]
Atm, I find it's good for just general damage and a little party help, but I know it could be better.
Also, to save on making new threads. Why doesn't this become a thread where any can post and get their build nursed by the master warriors that hang around here?
Thanks
Mazey

Now if you would rather get some acctual help rather then a couple guys jerking you around, let me see... I suggest something along these lines...
10 - Strength
11 - swordsmanship
10 - Tactics
You can add whatever runes and what not.
[skill]Counterattack[/skill][skill]Barbarous Slice[/skill][skill]Quivering Blade[/skill][skill]Galrath Slash[/skill][skill]Shield Bash[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
if your going to run a similar build for PvP I suggest dropping [skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill] for [skill]Enraging Charge[/skill] or [skill]Plague Touch[/skill]

I suggest more Flail.
Berserker Stance is bad, Flail is not.

I am guessing this is a PvE build in which case you might want to check this thread out
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10216727
it contains the standard pve templates.

OP's build, for all it's weaknesses, is better than this piece of crap. I love when warriors like this latch onto my monk in RA. I can keep myself alive with nothing but RoF. I also love how you're advocating not taking a rez in what I assume is random arenas. Buh?
For the OP's build, grab flail, it's the single best warrior skill. For PvP, run frenzy/rush. Warriors always, always, always need an increase attack speed skill.
Toss soldier's strike for a rez unless you're henching, then who cares. It's a pretty useless skill, if for some unknown reason you really wanted an energy-based attack, just grab power attack and call it a day.
Toss lion's comfort for healing signet, or, better yet, watch yourself for PvE.
Shields up is a good skill, but somewhat situational. You don't need it in every area. I'd be wanting enraging charge in that slot, personally.
Finally, quivering blade works in a pinch, but it just isn't as strong as dragon slash in PvE or cripslash in PvP. You should strongly consider picking one of those up.
Also just noticed that you need a swordsmanship helm. Your helm should almost always be

If you want to keep quivering blade(I'd take either dragon slash or crippling slash), I'd make this out of it for PvE:
[skill]quivering blade[/skill][skill]sever artery[/skill][skill]gash[/skill][skill]Sun and Moon Slash[/skill][skill]flail[/skill][skill]enraging charge[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill] [skill]"Shields Up!"[/skill]or[skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill]

9+1 strength
9+1 tactics

Well I see everyone suggesting Dslash and Cripslash, I'm suggest a build that I've tried out and works fairly well. Also one that keeps the elite he likes. Just cause it is not main stream, does not make it good. Secondly for the PvP suggestions, I was referring more to AB or FA, somewhere you don't need res. I know you need res to play RA, even though I never do.

KalleDamos, you need to keep in mind that when you write pvp, people will first think of GvG, HA and Arenas. Suggesting dropping your rez signet in pvp is then very bad.
Secondly, your build is not "alternative" vs "mainstream"; it is inferior because it can't kill any decent player with no IAS, no deep wound, no knock down, no snare, no movement skill. You don't need all of these tools in one bar, but a deep wound and an IAS seriously have to be there!

Yeah, that's a good build in PvE if you don't want to run the superior dragon slash. Just remember to change sever + gash when you're against non fleshy foes.

You have no ias, no speed boost, no snare or knockdown, and not running at least 14 in swordsmanship...
And you wonder why your warrior evaluation thread failed...

No, lack of IAS, speed boost, and max swordsmanship makes it not good. This is true everywhere. A warrior without an IAS and a way to prevent kiting is a completely useless warrior. Monking against you, all I have to do is run around in circles and I will take zero damage.

Because it's true? IAS pumps damage by 50% with one skill, why wouldn't you bring it? And you aren't going to be doing ANY damage generally if you can't catch your opponent...
